Dr. Beverley Mitchell, SSA
“Vic Derman is a wonderful advocate for local farms and locally grown food. He has shown great leadership in listening to farmers, understanding issues, and presenting Council with a clear picture of the support needed to maintain this valuable food supply.”
John Lowan -
“I have had the privilege of serving on both Municipal and CRD committees chaired by Vic and have been continually impressed by his dedication and his efforts and foresight related to global warming and the links between land use and transportation.”
Darrell Wick

I would like to acknowledge Councilor Vic Derman for all the time he has given to our community initiatives and concerns. He has attended many important meetings in our neighbourhoods to openly and honestly discuss controversial topics. He is willing to go against the grain to stand up for community values and principals.
Vic is an individual who, I believe, understands and gets what our communities are up against. His insight and experience on Council are invaluable assets that will serve our community well in the future. He encourages communication and empowers residents to get involved.
Vic Derman is the only Councilor who has articulated and documented a new Vision for the changing and challenging times ahead. He has shared his vision at community meetings to create community dialogue and input.
In closing, Vic Derman is a man of integrity who has earned my trust and respect.
Mrs. Deborah Dickson
